Demo day has arrived.  Time to put it all together.

Tear Out And Installation

Prior to the start of demolition, we had accomplished the following:

The new vinyl window and kitchen slider were installed first.  Your cabinet and counter top installers will want that done.

We had chosen the granite we wanted for the counter tops.

We had chosen our appliances.  We had verified the measurements for the appliances with our cabinet installer.  The sink was purchased and the template ready for the granite counter top.

At that point we were ready for demo.

Demolition was completed on 12/11.  The overhead fluorescent lighting had already been removed and replaced with canned lights.   Also notice that the vinyl windows were already installed, a necessary first step.

Just two days later the cabinets were installed.  Some wall repair was also done.

By 12/17 the island was installed, and plywood for the granite base.  Also the crown molding is in.

The counter tops were in, and the tile was installed by 12/30.  Appliances are also installed.  Notice the range hood does not match and was not what we expected.  The cabinet company and installers allowed us to return it and order a nicer piece.

Installation complete with new Kobe range hood with cabinet installed above. A better look at the ceramic tile flooring. Backsplash also finished.
